116FCSS Scope Base

I'm looking at purchasing my first Savage (116FCSS in .30-06). I'm also planning on purchasing a Bushnell Elite 3200 3-9x40 in Silver for on it. I've always used Leupold STD 1-pc bases and rings. I like one piece bases and twist in rings. I'd like to stick with this. My question is, will the Leupold 51011 base and Leupold 49902 rings work with an Elite 3200 3-9x40 on a 116FCSS? My scope, rings, and base must match my barrel finish, I've always been picky with that. I'd hate to spend $235 on a scope, rings, and base only to have them not fit. I know the length of the action seems to be an issue. Any insight is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Made some phone calls and answered my own question. Perhaps this will help others as well. I called Leupold and talked to one of their engineers. He advised that the STD 1-piece bases measure 4.4" from center to center where the rings attach. He said it would be basically 5" from outside to outside on the mounted rings. I then called Bushnell and talked to one of their engineers. He advised that the Elite 3200 3-9x40 scopes have 6.1" of total mounting surface. Therefore, I should be fine with some room to spare on mounting my scope on the Leupold STD 1-piece base. I'll let you know for sure once I have it purchased, and mounted.

so that only gives you 1 inch of adjustment room? is that enough? ???
