    bedding a Savage 12 f t/r with stock stock

    hey all,

i"m new to this site and want to ask some of the members if they have any first hand experience bedding this stock. I need to know where to cut out, how much, and any other info they might have. This will be my first bedding job and i'm planning on using Devcon puddy. What type do you recommend?

    Thanks,

Devcon steel putty is great to work with. http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=5...t/EPOXY-METALS

Minus the pillar install this is a very good guide: http://www.6mmbr.com/pillarbedding.html
Just don't bed your Savage past the rear action screw/pillar. The tang should float.
