From what I can tell, the XR's reticle can go to 300 yards. Plus you can fine tune the yardage with Nikons balistics chart, for diff. loads. A marketing gimmic if you ask me. The Omega is still in the line up as well.
I'm currently shopping for a new scope for the 10ML-II. I was pretty set on a Nikon Omega but after a quick look at Midway, I see a "new" Nikon Inline XR thingy. Looks pretty much like a re-named Omega.
Do any of you know what the story is here? Are they two different scopes or is the Omega name being phased out?

If I recall, the Omega also has the 300 yard reticle as well.....I kinda figured it was marketing, etc but just wasn't sure.
With T/C coming out with new stuff (other than Omega), I can see where Nikon might want a scope with a different name.
