    Stevens 235 12 ga

I do carpentery and every once in a while someone will drag out an old gun and give it to me, kind of like a tip. A few years ago I was given this old Stevens 235 Hammer Double. First one I've seen where the hammers come out of the action instead on a seperate plate. The old shotgun has alot of handling wear but is still very tight. I'm going to take it duck hunting today, after all these years stashed in a closet or safe I think it will enjoy itself. I will be using low presure 2 1/2" shells loaded with ITX shot intended for antique Euro shotguns. Anyone have any info or stories about these old shotguns. I also have an old LC Smith hammer 12ga that is still tight as new but the outside of the barrels (damascus) were pretty rusty and I need to have a gunsmith check them out before I use it.
