    Sav 340 in 375 Win

Was the Savage 340 bolt action ever chambered in 375 Win?

No - I think that would be too high a pressure for the 340 action.

    30-30, 222, 223, 22 Hornet, 225 Win is it.

I had planned to rebore a 30-30 barrel to 38-55 (lower pressure than 375 win) but after looking at cost and what I would have when I was through, I went with a Rem 788 for the project.

I have heard of converting 340s in 30-30 to 25-35.
