The model 93 was never chambered in 22 LR, they were either 22 WMR or .17 HMR.

I really think you're confusing 22lr for 22wmr. The 93, AFAIK, has never been chambered for 22lr. Dicks sells special edition Mk II's and 64's, but I have never heard of or seen a 22lr 93. Dick's could have also mis-labelled it.

Also, it seems redundant to re-chamber a 93 for 22lr, when a Mk II is essentially the same rifle.

If one does exist, please post a pic of the rifle, and the chamber mark to verify it's 22lr.

The only difference between a 93 and a MKII is the magazine system. It would make no sense what so ever to stamp a 22lr as a model 93.

The 93 in 22lr and the MKII use the same Mag.

Then it is essentially a MKII.

It is not special made. It is a misprint in the ad. The 93 and the Mark II are what is on special. If you look at the barrel on the .22LR it will say MarkII. I know this because I bought all three calibers, .17HMR, .22MAG and the .22LR.
