Facing off the front of an Edge...

...to put in a standard style recoil lug. I don't know what the screw spacing is on an Edge (as I don't have one), but looking at it, this might be an alternative so that aftermarket stocks can be utilized (assuming the screw spacing is the same). I'm thinking along the lines of an XLR Industries stock here, with the option for the DBM setup. Anyone care to measure the action screw spacing for me? Thanks guys.

    Respectfully,

    Kevin

Ask Sharpshooter he has faced off a few of them to use a standard lug.

I have faced off the front of the receiver and used a standard recoil lug, which will drop right back into the stock. Why Savage used this "half lug" we'll never know.
The action screw spacing is 4.800", not compatible with anything else. Nothing about the Axis receiver is the same ,other than barrel threads.
