got a hold of Sinman or NSS or SSS. Im sure one of them can ream out ur throat to the same dimensions. maybe we will get a few more gunsmith savey people to give their advice.

Yes, they definitely can. Just a little throating an go.

    .....or....make it a 223 AI. 75 gr AMax's run 3150 out of a 26" barrel with ease.

If going to run 80 gr AMax's, I would ream to 222 Magnum AI...and use 204 Ruger brass (a LOT cheaper than magnum 222).

I run my 223 AI reamer deep and use 204 Ruger brass necked up. 80 gr AMax's in a 1:8 or 1:7 twist barrel fly accurately a LONG ways. 1000 yards is an easy poke for those lawn dart 80's.

You can do that with a 1 in 8 twist barrel.

have any load data other than varget and rl-15 have a gun show next week and can pick up powder there (more selection) .i tok it out last weekend it did ok with 69grsmk's over varget (5/8 groups) and 75gr amax over varget (3/4-1") i'm hoping to load up some with rl-15 for the next time i have off.
