    bell and carlson


    Was wondering carba lite. Or durramax. Looking for a good light stock

    IIRC, the carbelite is a less expensive(more flexible) stock than the Duramax. That may be wrong.
    I was VERY pleased with my Duramaxx, especially for the money.
    I'm a firm believer in the theory that if it bleeds, I can kill it.

    looks like the durramax comes with a heavy barrel channel i dont know how well that would look with a magnum contour barrel.

    any suggestions for a light stock that isnt all flimsy or would i be better just stiffining up the factory stock?

    Most light composite stocks will have some flex in the forearm due to the cut for the recoil lug area being somewhat thin. The cheapest is to stiffen the factory stock with aluminum rod or carbon arrow shafts that extent to the recoil lug shelf.

    what kind of material would i use to to glue all that in?

    I use bedding compound like acra glass, Devcon, Marine Tex or something like that.
