Model 99 question - disassembly of rotary magazine?

I've got a 99 in 358 that is having a problem with the rotary magazine getting stuck and not feeding. I think something has gotten into the works and is jamming it up. How do I take this beast apart to clean inside the magazine?

I would first take the wood off and then hose out the rotary assembly with break cleaner, do it outside with good ventaliton. Then use something light, like break free on the front and rear and see if that solves you problem. Taking the rotar out is easy getting it back together again can be very challenging.

My 99 358 featherweight is my favorite rifle

    good luck

There is a vast library of information stored here BUT it is for PAID MEMBERS ONLY. The best $12.00 per year you will spend on Savages.

I have completely dis assembled my 190? 22 hi power take down several times but still learned a better way. Money well spent.
