    Boyds Classic vs Prairie Hunter

Can someone tell me the differences between these two stocks? I am considering putting one on a model 16FSS.

    Thanks,

    John

I think the classic is a plain stock and the PH has a cheekpiece sorta like a monte carlo style.

Difference is in the comb as Werewolf pointed out. The Classic has a traditional straight "American" style comb that is parallel with the bore and a cheekpiece. The Prairie Hunter has a Monte Carlo style comb that sits higher than the bore and a cheekpiece.

Do these models support a varmint barrel contour?
