Did I just Bubba my rifle up?

I just finished a bedding job on my 223 12BVSS. My rifle has a stagger feed magazine. After posting on here as to how to remove it, I did as told, whacked the rear of the mag tang with a screwdriver and hammer - it popped right out as advertised.

Bedding job looks perfect, so I go about reassembling the rifle. As instructed, I put the mag in place, placed a screwdriver on the rear tang, and tapped it. Boing! The rear tab snapped right off! I proceeded to mount it with only the front tab engaging, as it seems as though the inletting in the stock will not allow the magazine to slip too low. It seems to work like that, even feeds correctly, but I haven't shot it yet.

Can I use it as is or do I need to purchase another internal box magazine, then try to get it to snap into place again without breaking something, or can I simply convert it to a center feed?

    Thanks all....

You can get another stagger feed box. That is what I would do. Don't know if you can make a center feed or not but someone on here will.

Put a dab of hot glue on the rear. If you have to remove it, it will come out easily.
