To wich calibers my 30-06 110 can be converted to?

I bought this 110 around 1999 if that is any help or important. It is a long action rifle that I use for hunting. I have been thinking I would like to tinker with a 7mm as another cartridge for hunting. If it could also be turned into a 223 for off season plinking/varmint that would be great. I know some of these changes will require changing the bolt face and either changing or modifying the magazine so if possible please add that to the response. This is a project that I will take in the off season so I have a few months to go and want to use that time to start getting the tools/parts needed.
    A little background on me...
I do like to tinker with things, I know the dangers (most of them) that I am taking working with a gun but I am good with my hands and following directions. So far in this gun I installed the rifle basix trigger, I change the barrel to an A&B barrel, and Choate Ultimate Sniper Rifle Stock. I have done some reloading but I am not in deep on that. I always seem to run out of time to work a load. Rifle shoots well under 1.5 moa at 100 yds and no problem keeping it at 3 inch groups at 200 (im sure it can do a lot better with a good shooter) with an occasional "flier".
I do my own mechanics for all my vehicles and small engines and like building stuff. Like I said, I can follow directions... ;D

    Thanks for y'alls help.

Really, just about anything without too much trouble. With the bolt face you have you can run anything from 22-250, to 6BR, to 7-08, 308, 243, 25-06, 6.5x55, just to name a few. Not all of these cartridges can be done as a repeater but all are capable as a single shot. As a single shot you can go all the way up past the 300 RUM, 375 H&H, etc. sized cases. You can step down to the 223 sized cartridges, but you need a special boltface to do it and they can be hard to find, but SSS may have them, I can't remember.

    Hope some of that helps.

For practicality, I'd use your 110 for longer cartridges and if you want to run short stuff ........ get a SA action ......... then your .223 will make more sense. (And be easier to switch bolt heads for).

    Enjoy!

Short-action cartridges work in a long action. SOMETIMES, they show feed problems, but not always.
    I have a 22-250 in what was a 7mmRM.
I'm a firm believer in the theory that if it bleeds, I can kill it.

if im not mistaking, once upon a time all savages were built on long actions. Im not sure about that but ive had several older guns that were LA with a SA cartridge....22-250, 243, 308.

If you are interested in a 7 mm on a 30-06 lcase, your request was answered long ago. The .280 Remington is basically a 7mm-06. In fact, for a while Remington even named it the 7 mm Remington Express and you can still find it listed that way some places.
