Savage 10FP-SR .308, B&C Medalist, 150 gr fusions, Schmidt and Bender 1-4x24 Short Dot, Primos Trigger stix
: Bushmaster Predator .223, 1:7 twist, Vortex Strikefire Bright Dot with Aimpoint 3x in a Mako Pop Up mount, 75 grain TAP, snakeskin camo by me, Snipe Pod tent pole type bipod.: Mossberg 835, Dead Coyote choke, Knoxx recoil reducing stock, shooting 3" dead coyote loads, camo by me: 97 Chevy Silverado, under cap has all sleeping/camping arrangement running 3 batteries with inverters, Krylon camo by me! I go all over the state starting October when the snakes go to sleep hunting mountain lion and below. for the past 5 years have made enough at the fur auction to pay for the entire 'season' (although there is none on dogs, and a 3 month reprieve on fox and cats) plus a new gun. Used to trap but not anymore, too much time involved when i work full time and am a 100% disabled vet. Hunt from a Kawasaki Brute Force 750i with 27" mudlights with a 3 inch lift, drop baskets and a portable skinning pole with top bar and mandrel that a bud and i made that hooks to the trailer hitch to skin, it will hold about 150 pounds, does well. ATV looks like a War Wagon when all loaded up with the bags, guns, self invented stereo system, going down the road in a ASAT Leafy Suit!!!!!!
    Good Hunting!!!!
Pic of my ATV (although i have moved gun locations around so you can ride behind me!!!! and some pics of the areas we hunt:

the weaver base can go on either way according to how much eye relief you need. shows it both ways on the package insert. had me worried on the scope base but reading the package insert and looking at the pics of the Made In America and Weaver being mounted on the left shows either side. this helps and it clears everything so it is fine.

    Re: my predator rigs

yep, your guess would be correct..Yuma AZ. One of the hottest places in the US and one of the nicest places in the winter. right at the tip of AZ, CA and Mexico. none of the problems so far of other border towns due to all the snowbirds that come down here keeps the mexican economy very high in the winter. basically endless desert and every weekend from when i leave friday nite to when i come back sunday sometime i'm pred hunting. sleep in the truck and then off on the quad. all over the state and a bunch of groups i belong to on the net have get togethers, contests, etc. so i am every where. wish gas would go down so i could go farther north where the big dogs are, my biggest is 51 pounds with a .308 and he turned into the shot when the bullet was already in flight so it basically took his head off. i skinned him out and wound up having to cut the pelt at the neck so he is headless, but would have been 6 foot from nose to tail. he is on my office wall at work along with about 20 dog and fox tails and a bobcat rug on top of my filing cabinet, 2 rattlesnakes mounted on boards........and i work in a hospital!!!! folks love to come to my office!

    Re: my predator rigs

just don't ride behind me (i have since relocated gun locations)!!
You are up on me since you can night hunt and we cannot. 17 fireball is an awesome gun for any predator, specially fox and bobs! i personally don't have one, but want! electric carts are sneaky when getting into areas. i run a Benz silencer muffler and all you hear is the engine noise and since its a V4 it is a little loud but almost no exhaust sound. it just pops off when we go ride the dunes not hunting. the 27" mudlites really get me into the washes though.

    Re: my predator rigs

Since my "buggy" is a highly modified EZ-GO golf cart (and I do mean it's not your Daddy's golf cart!!!) I have it set up with a 48-volt system, a high torque motor, and the controller (for you gas freaks out there....the controller is the equivalent to a carburetor) is set (the controller is actually adjustable via my laptop and some software!! Pretty cool stuff!!) for high torque and low speed. The top speed is only 7mph, but this cart will climb trees!!! I have two winches on it. One in the front and one in the back. And yes...I've used them a few times in the deep mud.

I've snuck up on everything except turkeys. Those damn things can hear me fart a mile away!!! No gas fumes.....and no stopping for refueling either. But if I lived in a area where I had to travel real long distances instead of here in SW Pa. where it's hilly and I travel short distances, I would probably go with gas.

My gun rack is right in the middle of the driver and passenger seat. The floor is completely flat, so that part is easy. And it's easy to get to when you need to make a quick stop. ;D

And I love the 17 Fireball. Easy to shoot....accurate as heck....easy to reload...and deadly on anything dog size or smaller!!!

    Re: my predator rigs

being in arizona, i have had my share of sand/off road vehicles, never electric, though a lot of folks have them out here, sounds like you have a good buggy, here's my 64 baja:

    and my Manx:

i thought i had a pic of my golf cart but i don't, new computer. anyway it's a 3" lifted, A arm suspension 24HP honda engine, bright yellow, great stereo, rear rumble seat, bimini top, 10 halogen night driving lights that run off their own optima battery, blah, blah. it is nice for the desert when i take the grandkids out. the Manx is only a 2 seater with a 2275 VW engine and top of the line everything on it. the baja just had the interior done in Mexico (5 minutes away) and has a stock 1600. all run great. don't hunt with them though, way too loud!

Here is my coyote rig. I recently added a Dark Metal Design muzzle brake to it. I will have to update the pics of the muzzle brake.

    Re: my predator rigs

This is my "Special Purpose" predator and FPR rifle. I recently had to remount the scope due to an inoperative windage adjustment. I have not yet re-zero'd the rifle just yet as I am considering changing over to a set of the Millet low 35mm scope rings. The Millet LRS-1 scope comes with a set of high scope rings that in my opinion are far too high for this rifle. This rifle has the Dark Metal Design HK style muzzle brake. It made a HUGE reduction in recoil which makes shoot this 300 WSM so much more enjoyable. I am currently using RWS RAP-X 184 grain Deep Penetration ammo rated at 3050 ft./sec. which grouped very well my last seccion when the windage on the scope crapped out.

I agree. They are stupid high on my Savage. I ordered the Millet DT00724 Low ring today. That will lower the scope about .4 inches. The Millet PC00011 20 MOA picatinny rail mount I am using caused the scope to be elevated on the rifle too. Not much I can do about that.
