Vortex Viper, upper end Burris, Zeiss, Valdada IOR, NF, and any other higher end optic should be great.

    Re: Long range scope help

Nightforce bench rest with your choice of reticle #1

Vortex is not a bad option.

Swarvoski is the all around best for hunting!

I have several of the Nightforces/Swarvoski's and getting two more Nightforces tomorrow!

If your interested in a Swarvoski Z5 5-25x52 with the BRH reticle, I can fix you up!

I am going to make someone a good deal. The only reason I am selling it is to buy the two Nightforces so my sons will have the same target set up as I do!

Don't get the wrong idea, Swarvoski is #1 for hunting IMO, Nightforce Benchrest is #1 for target shooting again IMO! My two sons agree also!

    Hope this helps!

    I should have asked.

How far are you planning on shooting? If over 1200 yards, about the only that will get you past that is the Leupold. Has 150 MOA of verticle adjustment.

A straight 16 is fine for certain things, but 16 is too much for some hunting situations, and not enough, for me, for LR shooting. The 5.5-22 NXS fits perfectly into those situations. 6-24 IOR is good too.

Don't overlook the Sightron SIII series, I just sold a leupold LR/T 8.5-25x50 to fund a 8-32x56 sightron with the new MOA reticle.

    Re: Long range scope help

Take it from someone who has used them all. The nightforce is nice But for about $850.00 (half the $)the 8x32x56 ssIII is every bit the scope and better than Burris,Bushnell,Nikon and most Leupold's Which hurts me to say about the Leopold's!!! Definitely Nightforce or Sightron ssIII
