I don't think you will find the extra 2" much of a problem.A little sand paper to open up the barrel channel or a saw to cut off the extra length. Either way maybe half an hours work.
Morning folks ... new guy in the forums :) and here is my first question!
I just bought a used Savage 110E 30-06 to start hunting and I want to replace the factory stock on it since the cheek pad is too thin and I am basically tilting my head down and into it. I started looking for an after market stock and all the ones that I have found are for 20" and above barrels
Question: Does anyone have one of these rifles with an after market stock, or does anyone know where I can find an aftermarket stock for an 18" barrel??
Thanks for all your help in advance :)

See profile for fire arms
Do it today there maybe no tomorrow
Perhaps an aftermarket adjustable cheek rest, either purchased or home made?
hmmm ... didn't think along those lines ... :-[Originally Posted by thomae
