Yes, I would like to know this answer also! Also, how difficult was the old one to remove. Did you need to shape the replacement one or was it relatively a perfect fit already?
I love my SSS stock - problem is the recoil pad is their standard sized on (approx 1/2"). Has anyone removed theirs and added another type? If so, what type (Pachmayr etc)? Also, how difficult was the old one to remove. Did you need to shape the replacement one or was it relatively a perfect fit already?
Thanks.....

I assume you mark it, grind/sand as necessary, then reinstall the pad?

As Hi-teck said, 2 screws. look for a couple slits in the butt of the pad and slide a lubed screwdriver in. vasiline or grease let the screwdriver turn easier. belt sanders work quick and slick for the job.
And with out the proper jig, It is hard to get the heal and toe to follow the lines of the stock. A dead giveaway rookie mistake.
