    270 to 7mmrem mag,or 300win mag


    to change a 270 flatback to mag. cal all that is needed is new barrel mag bolt face mag box & follower did i miss some parts? thanks jww123

    That pretty well covers it.
    Then a new stock, new scope, new trigger. It never ends.

    Nope. I'd take the opportunity to change the recoil lug while you have the barrel off but it's not required.

    Don't forget spotting scope, new Peltor earmuffs, an 8 pounder of H1000 or Retumbo, Redding 3 piece die set, ...... :)

    I`m doing something similar 25-06 to 7mm mag on a 110 action,will the bolt baffle need to changed as well?

    I'm doing the same thing to the same type of rifle. All I need now is a barrel, HS gauges and mag follower. I opted for a whole new bolt from Midway. Good luck.

    Nope, Front baffles are the same unless you are dealing with a 223 or 204. Rear Baffles are the same regardless of caliber, there is just a Flat and a Round to match whichever action you have.
