here's what the one the gunsmith said.

try to order it why dont you. the part number is for the old style bolt. you need to be sure of what you have and what you are ordering. reguardless the bolt head in the catalog is ffl per factory

Hello after we talked on the phone today I got looking around for other
stuff and I found a bolt head @ brownells.com the part # is 855-000-283
so I'm not understanding how its restricted like you said? Im not
doubting you at all you're the professional im just letting you know
what I found.

I when I was on there I built a complete bolt minus the fireing pin and
the cocking button. For a $146.00

you may need a chamber reamer depending if the barrel is finish
chambered or short chambered. problem is the bolt head is restricted for
sale.

Hello
My name is Matt

And i have a savage 110 Long
action chambered in 223 REM

i would like to re-barrel in a
different caliber 260 REM to be specific.

i have a small parts
list of what i think i need and would lie to know if its all i
need.

new ER Shaw barrel 24" 1 n 9 twist
new 308 family bolt
head
new 308 family blind magazine well and spring and follower
go/no go
gauges.
barrel nut wrench

do i need a new front bolt bushing?
if so how do i know what one is right.
also i believe that my rifle is
a per 1999 so will the firing pin still work for the new
caliber.

thank you for your time in this matter
