    Savage Model 10 FCM Scout

I have a question on the 10 FCM Scout. The rear part of the cantilever scope mount is attached via the front scope holes. However, is the front part of the cantilver screwed into the barrel, or is it just "floating"?

What he said, got one in 7.62X39 and with handloads(.308 bore) it shoots 5 rds.<3/4 MOA with 110 gr. V-Max. The rear holes attach the receiver sight and you could install standard bases and run a standard ER scope. Thought about a "pieceeice" rear base and leaving the extended rail on the front for a standard scope and using the rail for night optics. Nice rifle!
