    25-06AI


    Any one got much exp. with one of thees . I got a shilen select match barrel being chambered as we speak....I have had to make a desision if i wanted a 257 wm. or a 25-06 AI. i chose AI.....

    I think I'd go with the AI. Brass is cheaper and in a pinch you can shoot standard 25-06.There's probably not enough velocity difference to worry about. Plus you won't have to change bolt heads.

    AI is much cheaper to feed and it gets about the same performance as the 257.

    I have had two. The current incarnation is a McGowan 26in and I am using it for Antelope with 115 gr Berger hunting bullets. Very accurate and a long range beast with that BC.
