    Older lefthand model 110 action?

My local gunshop just got in a used 110L in 30-06. I didn't get to write down the serial # but it has a barrel that steps up at the rear site. The asking price is $299. Would this action be a good one to use for a 6.5-06 build? I actually went into the shop to buy a used left handed 300 win mag w/ accutrigger that was selling for $350 but I missed it.

    Thanks
    Chris

No, current barrels will not fit. The bolt has a nose on it and the barrel has a recess for the nose to fit in. Better to pass unless you want to shoot the rifle as is. This is the original 110 from the late 50s- early 60s. I have one in .25-06 and I really like it, but it will stay in current config.
