300 win mag

I am gonna start testing some loads for a 300 win mag barrel I will finally use.

I am not looking for specific loads but what I would like to know are some of your top powders for 300 win mag. I will be testing 165 and 180gr pills. Thanks! -Scott

In my 300 7828 works good with 180 grain Partitions. Both RL22 and 4831 should also be fine.

My 116 loves 76.5 gn of 4831SC behind a 185gn Berger VLDall fired with a CCI250 getting 3 inch groups at 600. Jay

If RL-22 doesn't work well enough, try IMR 4831. I use both powders for different bullets.
