    MKII FV-SR -- Nikon Prostaff 3-9X40 BDC?

    Afternoon, all.

I've had a MKII FV-SR on backorder forever and it finally shipped from Bud's to my FFL transfer dealer. I have a Nikon ProStaff 3-9X40 BDC that I used to use on my Thompson Contender (.223). I was pondering putting another Millett TRS-2 on the FV-SR (I use the TRS-2 on both of my other Savage rifles->Precision carbines in both .308 and .223), but the Millett might be a bit over-kill on the FV-SR.

Shooting up to 200 yards, mostly 100-150. Any opinions on just recycling my Prostaff 3-9x40 vs. getting another Millett?

Well, I decided to order up another Millett 30mm. Midway had the 4-16x50 mil/mil Illuminated recticle on sale so I picked it up. If I don't like using it on the FV-SR I'll migrate it to something else.

I'll post a pic of the assembled package in the rimfire section once it gets in (MKII FV-SR, Burris X-TAC rings, Millett TRS-1 4-16X50). I won't have the new can in for a bit (paperwork and wait time), but I'll post that once I can finally accept ownership.
