    110S J Series

    Hello,

I just did some trading to get a Savage 110S J Series. 308 win.

It hasn't hardly been shot and it's in great shape.

I can't find much info on the rifle.

    Serial number is D414944

Can somebody tell me more about this rifle?

    Thanks for your time, Eric

The one thing I can tell you for sure, is I hope you like the stock thats on it. Aftermarket options for the J Series just don't exist. They have a unique Action Screw spacing. Otherwise just about as good as any other Savage Action I believe.
    204, 22 K-Hornet, 222, 223, 22-250, 22-250AI, 6BR, 243, 243AI, 6-06, 6-WSM, 250-3000AI, 270, 7-08, 7RM, 30BR, 308, 30-06, 375 H&H, 444 Marlin, 450BM, 458WM

It's got a great wood target style stock. More vertical grip, that is thick with a palm swell.

Don't let the scare of stocks get to you, there is a few company's out there that have/make stocks for the "J" series or 1st generation short actions. Sharp Shooters Supply has a several stocks to choose from that can be inletted for the 1st gen short actions.

I think the S in 110S means silouette.

Has anybody got first hand experience with this exact rifle? I can't find much information on the model at all.

I think Stockade has "J" action stocks as well, it is late or I would look again myself.
Friends don't let friends use see through scope mounts. No offense.

I have a "J" series Prairie Dog/Tactical from Stockade, I don't know if they list it, but they can cut then. It's just a different setting for the inlet.

Just about any short action, blind mag stock will fit be moving the front screw hole about 1/4". Been there, done that. 8) Fits like it was made for it. ;D
