    What do you all recommend 22 mag or 17 will be for woodchuck hunting.

    I think the 17hmr is more accuate. Although I've never shot a woodchuck with a 17hmr. I have shot some big ol Texas Jackrabbits with one and a number of p-dogs. Does a number on both.

    My 93FV in 22WMR will put 5 shots in under 5/8" at 100yds with out too much effort. Sure does a number on racoons.

    22 mag has more choices in ammo, but that only matters if one doesn't work. I don't have a 17hmr, but all I hear is good stuff about it.

    both well do the job it really up to you i like the 17s better but there both good

    I have a friend who drops Yotes all the time with his .17, they are explosive in thin skinned game.
