    model 11 lightweight hunter

Anybody got there hands on one of these yet? I finally got to check one out the other day and would have went home with me if it had been in the right cal. The barrels are very light do you think they will shoot well?

for a few shots probably very good. After that they will probably heat up fast and the groups will start spreading. But, its a lightweight hunitng rifle, so the first and second shot probably all that matters.

eyeing one myself, in 204. Accustock, Accutrigger....just wish it wasn't such a blah looking black stock. Guess I could paint it but I'd screw that up.

I have one in .260 and i like it. It is a #1 contour barrel and does get warm after 3-5rds, the wooden stock is beautiful but not all of them are. No matter what i tell myself i always end up wanting target groups from my hunting rifles, and i have been able to do it with practice, (3 shot clover leaves).

I haven't been able to do that yet with this one, but it's just broken in and i don't have many rounds through it yet. The best so far is 7/8" more than once at 100yds. I have tried 120gr, 123gr, 140gr a-maxs, 129gr, 140gr sst's and 140gr interlocks. It shoots them all the same and all my shooting is done from either a bipod or cheapo mtm front rest. I don't think getting a 1/2" group or maybe better will be a problem with a little more time on it. blue

Blue my Son bought a 6.5-284 F class and so far the best bullet in it seems to be the Nosler 140 gr. Custom Competition. We have tried 140 Sie. match, 140 gr. Hornady , and the Nosler is the best in it with IMR 4831.
