Removing Alumahyde from barrel and action

I had some barrel work done and i need to re paint my barrel. It currently has alumahyde on it and j was wondering what tbe best way tk remove it is. Would a angle grinder witb a sanding disk be to aggressive? Should i just get some 220 grit sand paper and do it by hand? Thanks in advance for all your help!

    From brownells website, http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=1...A_HYDE_reg__II
"After full cure, Aluma-Hyde II proved solvent-proof to all but the most aggressive, copper-removing bore solvents"
Look at the new really agressive bore solvents, and try the ones with the warnings about how harsh they are to finishes.
