I had a blue factory 204 barrel that I set back and rechambered to 20 tac, that thing would shoot in the high .2s with ease. It kind of surprised me.
Received a factory varmint weight in 204 Ruger, blued, from Northlander. So far I've put 80 rounds through the barrel and am pleasantly surprised that this factory barrel is not a "copper mine". Accuracy looks like it's going to be excellent with the few loads I've tried. So far, 39gr SBK's lead the pack but the Berger 30gr HP is no slouch either. I need to work with the 34gr Dogtowns to try and find something that shoots accurate.

35 gr Bergers and 40 gr VMax were THE bullets in my barrel.
Kind of weird...either 204 barrels shoot 39 gr Sierra or 40 gr Hornady....but never both.
I haven't tried the 40gr V-Max yet but I did make up some loads with the 40 gr Nosler B.T. I have yet to test (if the rain ever stops).

The 34gr Midsouth Varmint nightmare bullets, with 25.5-26 grains of TAC work great in my factory barrel. Great accuracy with cheap components.
