    help with an oldie


    on the bolt, SAVAGE COMPETITION. .223 heavy varmint barrel,also engraved in barrel,STAINLESS STEEL. barrel and action are matte black.long action, flat back.looks like BVSS stock,hard rubber butt plate. did'nt take it apart,but the trigger feels like 8 or 10 ounces. its a tack driver . ser #F4065XX. any help??? MARK25-06

    I have one, in 300 Win Mag.

    Look at the end of the barrel, it is turned down to accept a Palma site. The side of the action is drilled and tapped for peep sites as well.

    Single shot? Mine is.

    Does the stock have a bipod rail and adjustable cheekrest on it also?

    Sounds like a Savage BT. Does the stock look like a VLP stock but has an adjustable cheep piece?
