I have a savage model 10. My load is 42.5 grains of IMR 4895 and CCI BR-2 primer and 175 sierra MK. I'm about .003 of the lands. I average .5's to .6 if I do my best i can get in the .4's

I don't have any pressure signs.

A caution to you just in case, sierra's load manual has 41.5 grains as max. so of course as always start 10% lower and work your way up.

Medium sized game (PA deer) and ground hogs. Not really concerned with "excessive" bullet weight for the occasional ground hog hunt.

I want to be in the -/=0.5" ctc group at 100 yards just in case I want to reach out with the 308 on ground hogs.

I've had good luck with fed case, 165gr ballistic tip, cci large rifle primer and 43 grain's IMR 4064, 20 tho. off lands, in my 10FP 24'' barrel. This load shoots under half inch.

I don't know about hunting application, but Snipers in the Military and Police shoot people with SMK's and I know SMK's are not for hunting applications, but it kills things.

The 110 Vmax is a bad little bullet...

    Re: 10 FLCP-K .308

i use 110gr vmax w a 47gr dose of imr3031 and i chrono'd them running at 3175. the diff in fps for my 5 shot group was 5 fps! and this was on my factory barrel and i still got under an inch groups. i need to give them a go on my new mcgowan barrel and see how they do.

my lupy cds scope turret adjusts all the way to 700 + yrds w this loading. i doubt i will ever shoot that far though.
