Needing a new .22LR

I'm pplanning on buying a new .22LR rifle. I prefer a single shot. Thought about a barrel addition for my T/C Encore, but they think a heck of a lot for a barrel! Someone fill me in on the better Savage offerings.

Not a single shot, but I just got a Mark ll fv-sr and I think it will make a great truck gun with the short heavy barrel and a good scope, many folks here seem to like it.

I myself like the Mk II BV. Not too fancy but shoots real good with the heavy barrel.

You could do a lot worse than adding a T/C .22 lr barrel to your collection.
I love my Savages ... my T/Cs too.
