    TUBE SIZE

I have been looking at the $99 crossfire at SWFA and wondering if there is really a $100 dollar difference between the 1" model and 30mm one the tube difference being .181102362206 is the extra tube diameter really worth it? or just go the 1" route for my 30.06 hunting rifle? I didn't do the math on that by the way I Googled a converter. ::)

    Re: TUBE SIZE

I read a article years ago, that said it made no difference in light transmition, the U.S.A. uses inches & Europe uses milometers, that's just what size they came up with. Now you will gain adjustment range from the larger tube, from what I was told. They are heavier, but on some set ups they just look cooler. All other things being equal, I would go with a 1" tube for half the price. But that's just me. :)
