Savage Model 25 Lightweight Varminter Range Report

Took my new Savage m25 223 cal out for the third range trip today, shot 6, 5 shot groups, using
H322, V-133 powder, Sierra 52gr match king, 52 Match Berger,64 Match Berger, brass is new laupa,
    groups ranged from .235 (Berger 52gr H322) to .625(berger 64gr H-322) only 2 groups were over .500.

One of the best out of the box rifles I've purchased in some years, very consistent groups and it prefers
52 grain bullets with an edge going to H322 over the v133.

I believe with a better target scope(fine crosshairs or dot) I can keep groups under .400,I'm using a
    low cost Instensity 5-20x44 now.

I would like to try it at 300 yards but have yet to find a range in my area for that purpose.

Only downside to this rifle is the non ability to change out barrels not sure I'm concerned if it continues
shooting this good for 3000 rounds I will be very satisfied.

From one old guy to another, welcome. Well, now you know about Safage rifles. Have funn and dont worry about getting out to 300 yds with the .223, it will do fine.
