    FCP 10 - K Bolt question

How much play should their be in the bolt handle when the bolt is closed (as if the gun was ready to shoot). It appears my bolt handle is a little lose when I close the bolt. The handle has a gap of .066 of an inch or 17 sheets of computer paper between it and the bolt. When the bolt is closed, I can wiggle the handle back and forth (towards the barrel and stock) because of the gap. The bolt doesn't move just the handle.

I didn't put a round in the chamber but I don't think that would tighten up the bolt handle.

I know there are a lot of tools for Remington bolts to take them apart for cleaning. Are their any tools for Savage bolts? How do you clean your Savage Bolt?

    Thanks!
    Eric

I purchased a 7mm from a local pawn shop a while back and noticed the same problem, try turning the bolt assembly screw and see if it is loose if you have front to back slop, as it appears you do this may be the case.
