Re: Post a Picture of your Rig(s)
Here is my first try at a Savage build. Got the barreled action from Fred M., it is all factory that he timed, recrowned in 22-250 Rem. I installed the tac. bolt handle and the Richards microfit stock. I shoot 50gr V-max with Varget. Scope is 6-24x50 4200 tactical, Burris Sig. Zee rings and Farrell base.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...IMG_1218_1.jpg
This is my 204R. Started life as a 12FV-S I got from NSS. Pac Nor 1-11 twist, Joel Russo A-5 stock, Sightron 6.5-20x50 in Burris Sig. Zee rings and Farrell base.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...r/IMG_1538.jpg
This is what I call my "Pigeon Popper". It is a 6x47 Lapua. Savage target action, 27" Douglas by Fred M., stock by Joel Russo. Sightron 6-24x50 SIII, Farrell base and rings. Shoots 105gr. Berger VLD's with RL17 or H4350 very well.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...r/IMG_1364.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...r/IMG_1545.jpg
Not a Savage but I'm allowed one, aren't I?? RRA 24" Varmint, 5-20x44 Nikon Monarch in Brownells rings on RRA scout rail. 1-12 twist and shoots the 52gr. HP Ultramax surprisingly well. Have not even worked a load for it yet

Re: Post a Picture of your Rig(s)
Got to love that old SMith&Wesson!
Since the gun is a first/one and only and I do not have the reamers for it, you would have to speak with the maker on what he provides. This one is definitely not for sale. I am thinking anti-inflammatory instead of wheates and spinach.

Next... 6x47 Lapua
This a well proven gun that get 5/8 groups@ 400yds and shoots just a hair under 2 inches@ 600yds!!!
The barrel on this rifle was orginially a 6mm rem. and was shot by a avid F-Classer who said that he noticed X'Count was dropping and since he had over 1500 rounds down the tube, it should retire. I purchased this barrel for $70.00 and had It rebarreld by SSG and this barrel has just turned some heads around the local group and '08 match.
BTW..not the prettiest

Re: Post a Picture of your Rig(s)
Remember it well. When you first posted pics of it I decided I would own a Medalist stock someday. I just got one a couple weeks ago ;D. Looks like you duracoated the barreled action since then though. Looks great.
If I recall you went overseas? Are you home now for good, or just some leave time? Glad to see your safe either way.

Started out with some 95 grain SMKs, but they weren't dropping the dogs like I wanted them too. Ended back up with my standby of 70 grain Blitzkings.
Duracoated is correct.

Re: Post a Picture of your Rig(s)
Finally took some pictures after the recent paint job. It's a little bit ugly, but oh well. May make some more mods, but not sure yet. Thinking new stock (Choate or Medalist probably) as well as new barrel. Probably go with a bigger caliber. In my mind are: .260, .308, .300 WSM, .300 RSAUM, and 7mm RSAUM. But I haven't made a decision yet.

Re: Post a Picture of your Rig(s)
Here are a few pictures of my guns:
Stevens 200 223 with a tensioned factory barrel, Stockade stock and bolt lift kit, SSS Competition trigger:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...e/S5000489.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...Picture471.jpg
In the pictures it has a Centerpoint but that has been replace with a Hawke 3-12 Mildot.
Stevens 200 in 45 ACP with Tech sights at the front and Williams WGRS rear with ghost ring:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4.../rearsight.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...frontsight.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...and200GDHP.jpg
My wife really likes the 45 ACP and I actually had her in mind when building it. She shoots it better than I can and with 45 ACP recoil is very mild even though evergy levels are up there. I handload so I will load everything from light and fast to heavy and slow. Personally I like the heavier slower stuff because it makes for a quieter gun.
I have a few other guns but they are nothing special, a few AR's, a few pistols and a few shotguns.

Thought I would share a couple pictures of my Savage 12FV 22-250 with you. Same gun as above, just re-Painted the stock with a Gray Textured paint and a couple coats of flat clear coat for protection. Really happy with how it turned out. The paint has a nice feel to it and seems like it will be durable. I've been able to put 20 rounds thru it and got the scope sighted in. Had a 100yd 5 shot group that was around 1.25" Not bad for the wobbly rest I was shooting from and it was a tad cold. Every good shooter has excuses. :D
