Sierra's varmint bullets, and Hornady's V-max are fine with the info supplied.
Remember that Rotation is what kills bullets.
As an example: Midway's Dogtown bullets are only good for @ 240,000 RPM
I just loaded Hornady 68gr BTHP Match and Nosler 69gr HPBT Custom Competition bullets over 23gr-24.5gr H335 powder. Will be going to the range shortly to check accuracy of loads.
Sorry to be so late getting back on the Vel. for the 60 gr. Bergers and 26gr. Varget. Searched my logs and can't find anything for sure but seem to recall it was right around 3000. I try to keep all of my loading in that range so I'm pretty sure thats real close. I haven't had any pressure problems with that load. Quick
The best long range .224 cal bullet is the new(ish) Hornady 53gn VMax. Highest BC of any varmint constructed bullet and since it's light you can push it fast.
