Advice for pillars in M25 (laminate stock)

Has anyone tried to add pillars, or bed the model 25 laminate stock? I really like the factory laminate stock but over time the tiny wood platform is slowly being crushed at the center screw and surely will only get worse. I have always been careful not to over torque them as it would collapse the wood. If any situation, I'm probably guilty of under torqueing, babying the anchors but possibly giving it the shift/movement needed to erode. :(
Essentially no recoil lug to keep things taunt so all is dependent on the three screw anchors holding secure.
