Does anyone have feedback on the preferred defense rounds in a Stevens 320. 00 Buckshot, slugs or a combination of both?
It looks like most rounds are 2 3/4", are these an advantage over 3" shells?
thanks

I personally like #4 buck in my home defense shotgun. Since shotguns are not really drop safe and the wifey might have to fumble for it I keep my 870 "cruiser ready" with the safety off. It's loaded up with 4 #4 followed by 2 slugs. On the Magpul stock is a 5 shell holder with more #4 rounds....Matching Magpul foregrip has a light on it.
Celtec hit the nail on the head. At one time the military used #4 buck in their shotguns for good reason. They stop men in their tracks.
Another vote for #4 buck. A lethal cloud indoors.
As I recall favored in Vietnam as well for the combination of lethality and getting enough pellets through the vegetation.
And if your choice is five 2-3/4" or four 3", go with the 2-3/4".
