I was cleaning my bolt and somehow I decocked it and the firing pin is in the fired position and I can't insert the bolt. How can I manually get the bolt in the cocked position so I can insert the bolt?

It's just brute force to push the cocking pin back up on the ramp. I use a piece of hard plastic to keep from killing my thumb...

If you use a crescent wrench you will find it much easier to cock. Open the jaws enough to go around the bolt body then just twist.
Push it down against the edge of a table or counter. Just not one the lady will notice gouges in.

Clean bore patch works for that part. I bought a 4” crescent that I carry in my shooting bag. It has saved my butt during a F-Class match when I somehow hit the bolt just right and de cocked it. Quick twist with the wrench and I was back in action..Quote:
