Stevens 320 with modified stock

I picked up a Model 320 security a year or two ago with the ghost ring sights and the pistol grip stock, which seemed kind of uncomfortable for some reason. I took it to the range for a function/accuracy test and it worked flawlessly, except for the pistol grip stock which made reaching the slide release a little awkward. I looked around for a regular stock, no joy at all, then a family member gave me an old poorly repaired wood stock he had gathering dust, I believe it was from a remington 870, it only took a bit of trimming to get it to fit , the crack was easy to repair and I used some epoxy putty to modify the grip, sanded and sprayed it Matt Black. Turned out better than expected.

Winchester 1300 stocks are a direct bolt on just in case you ever want to change it out or need a replacement in the future.

Thanks, that's good to know, my wife's cousin has a gun store on the other side of town, he had the old cracked stock in the back room gathering dust and gave it to me. He specializes in European Imports and high end collectable firearms, http://heritagearmsllc.com/ I love going to visit his store, they always have rare and interesting guns of all kinds, but way out of my league, last year they had a Volcanic Pistol. Every once in a while they do get a few that I can afford, I picked up two old single shot bolt action .22 rifles a while ago, a 1960's Voere and a similar vintage Anchutz, my kids like them both. My son bought a 320 about a year ago, I haven't gotten a chance to shoot it yet. But it was a great price at Wally world. I have a Remington 870 with a slug barrel, and a Remington Model 10 for field use. But the model 10 is old and doesn't function well. So I found another 320 at Wally world for $172 plus taxes and fees. Less than $190 OTD to have a new field shotgun for rabbit and birds.

Just read several posts in a couple other threads and I am going to get a 320 for myself as soon as I can.

Yes rerun5, the price is what lured me into getting one. This is the first 12 gauge shotgun I've owned, with only having fired two others before, I don't have much experience, this one is a lot of fun shoot, it may not be fancy or super high quality but it's a worth the price for sure. I was a little weary at first, then after firing a few rounds and getting the feel of it all my worries were gone, couldn't be more pleased with it.
I would say get one and enjoy....
