New vs. Old Accustock

I just bought a new Predator Max 1. When I took the Accustock sticker off, it pulled the camo off. It has a screw in front of the bottom metal, I would guess it has the wedge. My question, is the action and recoil lug the same for both Accustock designs? If Savage offers a new stock I might get the non-wedge model if it will work.

Why bother? The only difference is the wedge is omitted in the new stock. If the wedge breaks or causes problems, pitch it.
