What Scope Base For .308 F/TR Savage?
Greetings.
I have just acquired a Savage F/TR in .308. I'd like to try and track down a Leupold type one piece base, the turn in type with the windage adjustment at the rear. I'm sure there are plenty about, but the various model descriptions have me floored. Can someone help me with a list of actions that are the same type and dimensions as the .308 F/TR please?
What I seems to see is scope bases for the Savage model xxx, followed by numbers, and long / short action. I'm guessing it's a short action, and it's obviously a round action, but does this work across the board? I'd be grateful for any advice to clear the waters on this.
