Anybody else done any reloading for this mix and have a good power choice? I loaded some IMR 4064, it shot good but nobody else seems to like that powder for some reason.

Anybody else done any reloading for this mix and have a good power choice? I loaded some IMR 4064, it shot good but nobody else seems to like that powder for some reason.
My barrel seems to like the slower powders with 105's and 107's. I tried H4350 which is a little slower than 4064 and while it shot ok, H4831sc and R22 shot noticeably better.
I shot a eight shot group at .580 at a hundred with IMR 4064, Varget was a little wider at .750, while H1000 was a three shot at .100 with 4th and 5th shot being fliers, could have been me there.
Who cares what others think of your powder choice, if it works for you go for it.
Personaly I use IMR 4895 for everything and have found very accurate loads, some may take a little longer to find but that is the part I enjoy.Shooting to success.

I've had good luck with 4064 with mid-weight 243 bullets.It's a fast burner for the heavy bullets.
