Re: My first Savage/Stevens
sounds great, I bet you'll like it. I love my stevens 200 in 270.
Re: My first Savage/Stevens
The picture didn't come through for me. From your description, it would seem like you have a nice set-up.
I have a Stevens in .223 as well as an older 110. Both shoot everything well, reloads or factory.
:)
Re: My first Savage/Stevens
Sorry no pics. I'm technologically challenged and have taken them, but can't figure out how to post them. My partner here at the S.O. is computer savvy. When he gets in I'll see if he can help me post them. I got to the range Saturday morning. 3/4"-1 1/8" groups with no load juggling. Winchester brass, WLR primers, 59 grs. Retumbo powder and 100 gr. Barnes TSX. I may adjust seating depth a little, and also try some IMR 4350, IMR 4831 and some H4831. So far, I'm totally happy with the results and can't wait to try it on Muleys and Antelope. Buddy and I are also planning a N/E Wyoming whitetail hunt for November. Can't wait!!!
