Savage 4C reciever sight.
I realize that the Savage 4c didn't come with a receiver sight and the 4s did but, since the receiver on mine is factory drilled at around 315 degrees as opposed to 270 with two wholes 7/8" apart it should be able to take a reciever sight. Could any of you guys help me identify what would be a proper sight for this rifle. I also have model 7 that someone added a couple of wholes to for a Weaver side scope mount as well as lopped of the barrel to 17".
Thanks for your help.
Re: Savage 4C reciever sight.
The receiver sight your looking for is a #150 Savage sight. Also the Redfield 70 MS will fit as well as a Lyman 57 TS or 55 S but their harder to find than the #150's.
The pre-war 3's, 4's, 5's, etc came tapped for Weaver M and S type side mounts.
