Changing mag parts on new centerfeed stocks

Is this right...with any of the new centerfeed actions, the mag metal, follower, and spring are the same. So If I wanted to use the mag metal and parts, less the bottom metal piece that holds the det/mag together, the mag body would slip into a mag-well of a blind mag stock. Is it press fit in or attached some other way?

Thinking of maybe trying a B&C or Stockade or another. This is backwards of the usual retro-fit, but there are very few aftermarkets for det/mag.
