I’m waiting on my first Savage to arrive. A 10 FCM Scout. I plan to immediately re-barrel it and replace the smooth barrel nut with a notched one.
What upgrades should I consider while I have it apart? Aftermarket recoil lug? Longer/better shaped bolt handle?
I will be taking the scout rail and peep sight off and mounting a scope conventionally.
So what upgrades will make this a better 100yd range toy/truck gun/ranch rifle /woods carbine for deer/hogs?
