Found this nice old leather holster while unpacking.Any idea what it is for. the "Mag pouch" is almost as wide as the holster

My first thought would be something like a Mauser 96 or Astra 900, but the barrel section doesn't look long enough. Bergman-Bayard maybe?
me to but won't fit deapth is only 8". astra 400 almost fits but not quite.
