Action screw spacing depends on if its the older bolt release on the upper right or the newer bolt release a the bottom in front of the trigger

All long action screw spacings are the same. 5.062 the difference in the actions between Stagger Fed and Center Fed would be the the way the bottom port is cut effecting the stock magwell, and the Flat Back effecting the scope base. The more modern receiver is desirable if you want a DBM. The Flat Back is fine to use for a hunter or a single shot but can work as a tactical rifle as well just has fewer options stock wise.

I have not measured it, but the one I got looked like the action screw was moved to behind the bolt release.

RC20 has a bottom release model. When he pulls the release button rearward he will find the rear action screw. All savages use the front trigger guard screw as the rear action screw.
